Northeast WI offers 6 exciting speedway race tracks! You will love everything from the roar of the engines to the speed and hairpin turns right to the checkered flag! There is nothing quite like race day for a first time fan or a veteran of the track.

Find a race track below closest to you and visit one or all 6 of them this Summer!

 

 

🏎️ 141 Speedway in Francis Creek.  Stock-car racing on a high-banked, clay oval track with events on Saturday nights.  Season Opener is April 14th, 2018. Grandstand Admission:  $12/Adults,  $10/Students & Seniors,  10yrs and under free on weekly racing nights.

🏎️ Luxemburg Speedway is a 1/3 mile dirt track located in Luxemburg. Opening night is May 4th, 2018 with weekly classes of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, Street Stocks & 4-Cylinders. Grandstand Admission: $12/Adults,  $10/Seniors,  $8/Teens (13-17) and kids 12 and under are Free.

🏎️  Outagamie Speedway is a 1/3 mile banked clay oval at the Outagamie County Fairgrounds in Seymour. Season Opener is Sunday, May 6th, 2018. Admission is Adults 16+/$11.00, Seniors 60+/ $8.00, Students 12-15/ $5.00 and 11 and under are Free.

🏎️ Shawano Speedway is a semi-banked, 1/2-mile clay oval at the Shawano County Fairgrounds.  The weekly races include IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, Late Models, and Mighty 4’s. Grandstand Admission:   $10.00/Adults,  $5.00/Teens,  $2.00/Child (Children 11 & under are free with paid adult) Season opener is April 21st, 2018.

🏎️ The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay is a 1/3 mile clay oval. The weekly races will include Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Street Stocks and Enduro.  Season Opener is Sunday, May 18th, 2018.  I couldn’t find the price of admission for this speedway.

🏎️ Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna offers Drag Racing and Stock Car Racing. Drag Racing Season Opener is April 22nd, 2018. Stock Car Racing Season Opener is May 24th, 2018. Please click on their name to find their schedule of events and ticket prices.

Northeast WI has several Zoos and Petting Zoos to take the family to!  Check out the following list and take some road trips this summer to check a few of these out!

NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, 4378 Reforestation Road in Suamico.

  • April 1st through May 31st and September 1st through October 31st :  Daily 9am-6pm.
  • June 1st through August 31st: Daily 9am-8pm.
  • November 1st through March 31st:  Daily 9am-4pm.

Regular Admission Rates –  FREE for Children (2 and under), $6 Children (3 to 15), $9 Adults (16+), $6 Seniors (62+), FREE for Zoo Pass Members.  Admission fees are HALF-OFF from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in June, July, and August.

The miles of trails, picnic areas, trout ponds, and animal exhibits provide fun and enjoyment for the whole family. Guests who ride the Zip Line will stand at the top of the observation tower, just south of the zoo’s main entrance building, and see a good portion of the animal exhibits and lush habitat.

Open 7 days per week, 365 days per year, the NEW Zoo is an awesome place to escape the mundane and embark upon a fun-filled day “on the wild side” of things.

Feed the Giraffes – 10am to 1pm and 2pm-5pm (this does cost money).

The NEW Zoo’s Adventure Park, located adjacent to the NEW Zoo on Brown County Reforestation Camp land, consists of three exciting components: the Dual “Racing” Zip Lines, the Aerial Adventure Course, and the Climbing Tower.

 


 

Special Memories Zoo, W7013 Spring Rd in Greenville, WI.

May 2018 through –TBA–     The hours are Monday – Saturday 9am-6pm and Sundays 10am-6pm.  (Closed on Rainy and Stormy Days)

Admission Rates: Under 24 months: Free, 2-5 years: $5.50, 6-12 years: $7, 13yrs and above: $9 and ​Train Ride: $3

We have a large variety of animals from large to small. Come get up close and personal with your favorites. While you visit you can take a train ride through Badgerland Trails to see and learn about all of our Native Wisconsin animals. Bring  picnic and spend the day.

 


 

Menominee Park Zoo, 520 Pratt Trail in Oshkosh, WI.

May 5th – Sept. 23rd from 9am-6pm and Admission is FREE!

Being open seasonally, the majority of the zoo animals are leased, allowing a different variety each year. As the Zoo continues to grow and improve, several major, permanent exhibits are planned. These exhibits will house native species and the animals will reside here all year. Three permanent exhibits are complete they are the Wolf, Elk, and Otter exhibits.

Take some time and enjoy Menominee Park Amusement Park next to the Zoo. May 5 – Sept. 23: 11am-6pm daily and Weekends & Holidays in May & Sept: 11am-6pm.  Train ride $1.25/person and Whip ride $1/person.

There is even a small lagoon where you can enjoy some water activities with some non motorized rentals.

 


 

Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo, 1215 N. Eighth St. in Manitowoc, WI

Free Admission!  7am-7pm (Memorial Day thru Labor Day)

Spring: April 1 – Memorial Day and Fall: Labor Day – October 31 – Monday thru Saturday 9am-5pm.

The zoo has just under 200 animals, including black bear, bald eagle, cougar, lynx and others. It is situated along the Little Manitowoc River and provides a deck for viewing ducks, geese, sandhill cranes, and many other birds that gather along the river.

 


 

Animal Haven Farm Zoo, N1720 Bucholtz Rd. in Weyauwega, WI

Admission: Free under 2yrs., 2-5 is $6.00, 6-12 is $8.00 and 13 to Adult is $10.00

Open 7 days per week 10:00am – 7:00pm May 1st through September 30th and Open weekends April, October, and November 10:00am – 7:00pm

Animal Haven covers 30 scenic acres of trees, ponds and open areas.
We are a “Walk Through Zoo” featuring over 100 different species of animals ranging from small chickens to an 800 pound Tiger!

 


 

Bruemmer Park Zoo, E4280 County Road F in Kewaunee, WI.

Admission is FREE!  Feel free to donate to the zoo while you are there.

Open from 7am until sunset year round.

The park features a small zoo with many animals native to northeastern Wisconsin. The park has wooded trails and borders the Kewaunee River.

 


 

DeYoung Family Zoo, N5406 County Road 577 in Wallace MI.

The Zoo will open for the season on May 5th.

Zoo Admission Prices: Adults: $12 (Age 16 – 65), Seniors: $10 (Age 65 and older),  Children: $8 (Age 5 – 16) Free (Age 4 and under)

A Petting Zoo is available. You will find various types of domestic barnyard critters.  Feed can be purchased at the zoo to feed the animals. Feed Prices:
Bucket of Feed: $5.00 or Cup of Feed: $1.00

This is not a big city zoo, step out of the box, away from the concrete jungle and come along on a new journey. You will love the natural setting filled with amazing animals from around the world. Large natural habitats, education through hands-on experiences, as well as up close and personal family fun!

 


 

Mulberry Lane Farm, W3190 County Rd. B in Hilbert, WI

Opens May 2nd. Mondays: Closed – Most days are 10am-3pm but please check the schedules/dates/times right here.

Admission: $13.00 per person ages 2 to 92, FREE – Children up to 24 months are free.

Admission fee is all inclusive. Included are the children’s pony ride, your hayride, milking the cow, grain to feed the goats…and all the fun farm activities. You even pick your own FREE pumpkin in the fall.

Each person is encouraged to have first hand experience by touching all of our animals. Kids especially love our pony rides, hayrides and learning to milk a cow. You’ll also enjoy the farm as you learn things you never knew about farm animals including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, geese, donkeys and more! Touch, feed and experience these incredible animals close up as they become your teachers.

Spring comes alive with the birth of all the baby farm animals. Summer is a delightful time to pack a picnic lunch & enjoy in our old fashioned picnic & playground area. In Fall our famous Pumpkin Patch is stocked full and ready for you and your family to pick your own FREE pumpkin!

Be sure not to miss our exotic friends, especially the camels. Behold the splendor of Elk and Deer. Experience the sight of Water Buffalo, Watusi Cattle and an array of exotic and domestic animals, reptiles and birds. Then, head up to the north pasture and see the magnificence of the Great American Buffalo.

The Farm is a delight for people of all ages. As a living museum of rural America, it is a blending of cultural, historical, agricultural, ecological, recreational and educational values. Every year, The Farm virtually explodes with newborn and new-hatched creatures. Goat kids, piglets, foals, calves and lambs are born throughout the season; chicks hatch everyday in the observation incubator. Be sure to check the stork report in the lobby.

Memorial  Weekend – Labor Day Sunday, Daily 9:30am-4:30pm (closed Wednesdays).

Admission Prices-  Adults – $8, Kids 2-17 are $6, Seniors are $5.75 and Groups of 8 or more are 15% off.

Stop in and feed the animals, play at the Farm Village with the kids and try your hand at some of the puzzles or yard games.

Spring is peeking around the corner and that means Easter will be here in a few short weeks!  This gives us an excuse to dress our kids in fancy pastel colors and take awkward pictures with the Easter Bunny, but, best of all, the hunt will be on for those colorful eggs!  Check out our list of over 115 Easter events for Northeast WI, it’s “Egg-cellent”!!

🐰 8am-1pm at Parents as Teachers of Sheboygan County.  Breakfast with Bunny is $5 for 12-year-olds and up; $3 for 3-year-olds-11-year-olds and free to those two-years-old and younger.  Activities included.

🐰 10:30am-11:30am at Faith Community United Methodist Church in Greenville. The Autism Family Network will have it’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Bring a basket/container to collect eggs. There will be crafts, games and sensory activities. You will also be able to decorate cookies and have a snack. Also, enter to win an Easter Basket filled with fun activities. Cost is $3 per child – waived upon request. Due to a limited number of spots, please RSVP by March 12th by calling (920) 832-0344 or emailing helpline@eastersealswisconsin.com.

Join us for a private photo session with the Caring Bunny, an event designed to support children with special needs and their families. Caring Bunny is a free event but we recommend families make a reservation during the time slots provided. Register here.

🐰 12pm-3pm at DePawsitory in Downtown Appleton.  This doggone easter egg hunt is $10/dog.

🐰 8:30am-11am at Beja Shrine Center in Green Bay.  Breakfast with the Bunny admission is $7 (adults), $4 children (6-12), children 5 and under, free.

🐰 8:45am-11am at Trinity Kiel.  Easter for Kids is a free one-day Easter Vacation Bible School event for children ages 3 to 4th grade.

🐰 9am at Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly in Suamico. Starts promptly at 9am and will go until the very last egg has been found! Kiddos 10 and under are welcome, limit of 20 eggs per child. Bring your own Easter basket to keep your eggs safe or we will provide you with a plastic bag for your adventure!

🐰 9am-11am at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction.  Free Egg Hunt, games and prizes. They are collecting canned goods for the Food Pantry.

🐰 9am or 11am at New Hope Church in Neenah. Bring the family and invite the neighborhood to New Hope’s Easter Eggstravaganza! There will be 2 hunts this year, one at 9am and at 11am.  Every kid leaves with candy, filled eggs, and a prize bag! RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR FREE here for 9am or here for 11am. The Eggstravaganza is a pre-register event so that we can ensure every child gets eggs and prize bags!

🐰 9am-11:30am at Josten Park in Bellevue.  The Easter Egg Bonanza is for children ages 2-8 who live in Bellevue.  Children will get the opportunity to hunt for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, color eggs and win prizes.  Registration is required.  This is an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather.  It is a free event, but registration is required and spots do fill up fast.  Register here for one of the 3 times, 9:00am, 10:15am and 11:30am.

Activities include crafts, story time, an egg hunt, games, face painting and more! Pre-registration is required. Please email the Menominee Parks and Recreation Department at with child’s name, age phone number and preferred session time.

🐰 12pm at Menasha High School.  Menasha Auxiliary Police Unit is hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt for ages 9 and under.  This is a free event, however they do ask that one non-perishable food item is donated per child participating in the hunt.

🐰 12:45pm-2pm at Prospera Credit Union in Appleton.  8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for kids age 12 and under. Rain or Shine.  12:45pm-1:45pm is Pictures with the Easter Bunny. (Bring your own camera) Pick up a goody bag. (While supplies last) Register to win door prizes. Drop of canned good(s). The egg hunt will begin promptly at 2pm and eggs are collected within minutes; don’t be late!  Canned goods collected on behalf of St. Joseph Food Program, Inc.

🐰 12pm-2pm at Kaukauna Moose Lodge.  Open to Moose Lodge members and family. Easter Egg Hunt starts at 1pm.  Bring your own basket.  Free hot dog, chips and drink for kids.  Kids 12 and under.

🐰 1pm at Legion Park in Tigerton.  Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Emabarrass River Lions Club.

🐰 1pm-2pm at Lakeshore Humane Society in Manitowoc.  This is an Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs!  There will be plastic eggs with delicious smelling treats inside of them for your dog to find! The Easter egg hunt for dogs will be held around the shelter grounds and on the trails in the back of the shelter.  All dogs must be rabies vaccinated and leash controlled at all times. Easter Egg Hunt will be cancelled in the event of rain.  Admission to the Easter egg hunt is one donated item from our wish list, or a $5 monetary donation per dog.  And be ready to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Bring your own basket!

🐰 9am-2pm at NEW Zoo in Green Bay.  The Easter Eggstravaganza is a fun-filled day with an Easter egg hunt throughout the Zoo.  Each child will have the chance to collect up to 10 plastic eggs and redeem them, one at a time, for candy at one of the many color specific treat stations throughout the Zoo. The hunt is finding the right color station for your colored eggs!  Each child can also stop at the visitor center on their way out to pick up a final fun prize of their choice.  You can also meet the Easter Bunny for a free photo op in the Amphitheater.

🐰 9:15am-10:30am at Pioneer Park in Ashwaubenon.  The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 9:30am SHARP. The Hunt will be divided by age groups Age Groups: 3 years old and under, 4-6 years old and 7-10 years old.

🐰 9:30am-11am at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay.  The Friends of the Wildlife Sanctuary will again be holding their annual Easter Event at the Sanctuary for kids ages 3-8 and their parents. St. Patrick’s Day is now celebrated by many people throughout the world, Irish and non-Irish alike, with food, drink and all things green. ☘️

There are several places that not only offer classes for Canvas Paintings but Jewelry Making, Mixed Media Creations, Pottery, Ceramics, Wood Sign Painting and so much more.  Many places have kids classes as well so you can help them enjoy their creative side.  There is no experience necessary and most classes are designed for beginners, but still engaging for all skill levels.  Just bring a sense of humor and an open mind and see where your creative side will take you.
