January 13th will be a special night for the Marinette Moose Lodge. Mario Pisani who was born in Lueca Italy, Province of Tuscany and came to America in 1957 at the age of seven will be our Master Chef. He will make an all day spaghetti sauce using his family’s recipe from the old country. Mario will have many different kinds of pasta for your enjoyment. Mario says this is not ragu, come and enjoy the real thing.
I am only 1/2 Italian. Thus ( One and a half Italian ) My mother came to America from Italy when she was also seven years old in 1920. For my part of the dinner I will make my mother’s family Italian sausage recipe for cudighi. I will also make Evie Tousignant’s Italian family sausage recipe. Evie gave me the recipe many years ago so I could make the sausage for her family members to enjoy. Now its your turn. The dinner will also feature an authentic Italian tossed salad & garlic bread.
Serving will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. and will cost $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child 6 and over.
Mario asked if we could donate the profits from this dinner to Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy so this night is also a fund raiser. The event will be open to the public so invite your friends to come out and enjoy a relaxing evening at the Marinette Moose Lodge.
