Jazz at The Trout Season VIII celebrates the “Keys to Jazz”, featuring the virtuosity and versatility of the piano throughout the season.
Join us as we welcome Mike Kubicki – Jazz Piano to The Trout Museum of Art on February 15!
Pianist Mike Kubicki has been performing professionally for over 25 years. He studied with notable Wisconsin jazz pianists John Harmon and Mark Davis, and continued in the classic jazz tradition. His influences include Bud Powell, Horace Silver, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, and McCoy Tyner, grounding his playing
in the bebop and hard bop idioms. Mike works throughout the Midwest in a variety of formats, from solo piano to large combos. Outside of jazz, Mike daylights as a patent attorney.
Tickets for each performance: $12 Museum Members | $20 Non-members | $5 Students
Performances start at 7:30 p.m., with opening performance at 6:30 p.m. byLawrence University Student Jazz Trio.
