Whether you spell it ‘Oktoberfest’ or ‘Octoberfest’, you can find a celebration somewhere in Northeast Wisconsin. More than 40% of Wisconsin residents report that they are partly or fully German, which means this is the most common heritage in our state and we know how to celebrate it the right way. So, grab your beer stein and let yourself enjoy the German brews, the sights of lederhosen, the smell of bratwurst and the sounds of the German musik at one of the following events!

🍺 Appleton Octoberfest – September 29th-30th. Octoberfest weekend kicks off with License to Cruise, a classic car show on Friday night at 6pm. Complete with about 400 classic cars, live music and great food, you won’t want to miss one of Appleton’s largest car shows.
On Saturday, come to Appleton’s largest block party. Music starts as early as 9am, the full band line up is available on the music page. Arts and Crafts and the Family Fun area are also available at 9am. And, don’t forget about all the great food booths; local not-for-profits put in a lot of time and hard work to raise money for their organizations during this one day event.
🍺 Crivitz Oktoberfest – September 16th from 11am-11pm. German Food, Bier, Games & Live Musik! The Tapping of the Keg at 11:00am. Bratwurst, Kielbasa, Weisswurst & Wieners from Pelkin’s Smokey Meat Market in Crivitz. Domestic & German Imported Beers to try and enjoy. For the kids…. Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Bouncy Houses, Face Painting & Much More! And back by popular demand for the Adults… Fraulein’s Beer Stein Race, Starken Mann Stein Hoistin Contest, Yodeling Contest, Sauerkruat Eating Contest.
🍺 Crooked Lake Oktoberfest – October 7th from 11am-11pm. There will be an outdoor craft market, free pumpkin decorating for the kids, free hayrides, minnow races for young and old, the traditional Beer Garden, Live music by Whitey and more.
🍺 Hortonville Oktoberfest – September 16th from 10am-7pm. There will be live polka bands, vendor booths, American Legion Auxiliary bake sale, German style food and beer, apple pie eating contest, anything apple bakeoff, a scarecrow decorating contest, face painting by Carl Mann, kid’s petting zoo, inflatables for the kids, wagon rides and more. Local restaurants and the Hortonville Lions Club will feature ethic foods and beers for sale in the food court.
🍺 Kohler Falls Oktoberfest – September 8th-9th. Enjoy a Sheepshead Tournament (a centuries-old European card game), a Cornhole Tournament, Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk, the Oktoberfest Beer Olympics and fun inflatables for the kids. Live German music and food complete the experience, with traditional instruments like flugel horns, Austrian oval tenor horns accordion and more.
🍺 Neenah – Lion’s Tail Oktoberfest – September 22nd & 23rd. The event will be hosted on the brewery grounds in the shadows of Downtown Neenah’s Historic Clocktower and will feature live music including original music from some of the area’s best bands along with a couple traditional polka bands. There will be traditional festival games for you to compete against your friends and neighbors and a food court featuring some fall festival favorites from several local restaurants. But the star of the show will be the Oktoberfest Marzen Lager along with a selection of German-style draught beers brewed by Lion’s Tail and other local breweries. Plan on entering the Stein Holding contest and wear your traditional Oktoberfest garb to compete for the Best Dressed Award. The gates will open Friday 3pm and Saturday at Noon.
🍺 Omro Oktoberfest – October 7th from 8am-5pm. Great music, food, crafts and more! Stroll the streets and visit Omro businesses, while listening to various bands. Enjoy a variety of food and specials.
🍺 Oshkosh Oktoberfest – October 7th from 11am-11pm. Come and enjoy great German music, German dancers, German food, and German Culture. Sign up for the 2K Bier Run or watch the Running of the Weiner Dogs. If you are feeling competitive, then make sure to compete in the Oktoberfest Olympics.
🍺 Shawano Octoberfest – September 30th from 9am-4pm. Free live music, Food, Crafts, Vendors, Kids activities and fun.
🍺 Oktoberfest in Sheboygan at Al & Al’s Stein Haus – October 6th-7th. Every year, the family-owned restaurant hosts an incredible Oktoberfest celebration offering authentic German entertainment and brews and eats like bratwurst, German potato salad, sauerbraten, goulash and more. Saturday morning features the popular Wiener Dog Races, a fun costume and race contest that benefits the Humane Society, and the rest of the day is filled up with even more food and drink and some of the best entertainment around!
🍺 Waupaca Oktoberfest – September 1st from 4:30pm-9pm. Tickets $10 in advance $12.50 at the door (includes beer and or wine sampling) available at Waupaca Area Chamber or from a Rotarian. 16 Craft beers to try. German food available on site.
