Twinkling lights are making the Green Bay Botanical Garden sparkle again for their 22nd year of WPS Garden of Lights from November 23rd thru December 30th.  What is it about a bunch of Christmas lights that gets us so excited? All we really know is there’s something undeniably magical and special about those little lights as winter is pushed back for a moment by the twinkle and glow.

Here are 5 Things to know about the Garden of Lights

1.)  There are over 300,000 lights that will make the garden glow with beautiful colors for the season.  Can you imagine the amount of work it would take to unravel a ball of lights like that?

2.) Bring your camera to capture the magic.  There are photo ops everywhere!  And you may even catch someone popping the question in this all too perfect setting! (Let’s hope they say, Yes!)

3.) The features are Amazing and Beautiful!  The Icicle Forest, the walk-thru Catepillar, Gorgeous Swans, the Tallest and Brightest Christmas Tree, Flowers, Butterflies, and so MUCH MORE …… You will want to see it twice, because there is so much to see!

4.) You can walk this 2 mile path or there is the option of a horse drawn wagon ride but either way make sure to bundle up.

5.) It’s more than just the lights that makes this a must do on your list this year.  There are children’s stories told by Mrs. Claus, a Model Train exhibit set up and run by the G-Gagers Train Club (it usually delivers candy to kids watching it go round), a Candy Cane Lane with family friendly activities, a Gift Shop, Food, Hot Cocoa and of course, the big guy, Santa!

Just a few more things……

You can enjoy this glow and twinkle of the garden on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5pm-9pm. November 23rd thru December 30th.

There is free parking and a free shuttle from NWTC parking lot.

Family Night is Sunday, November 25th.  This means children 12 & under in the same household receive FREE walking admission with one paid adult.

Volunteers are needed to make this event the best it can be!  Find available shifts and more info about volunteering right here.

You can find even more details about the WPS Garden of Lights on their website and facebook page.

Green Bay Escape!

Green Bay Escape!

I recently had the chance to try one of the Escape Rooms at Green Bay Escape and it was Phenomenal!  My group and I loved everything about it! It was an expereince fro mthe moment you walk in the door to check in until you leave! Every step of the way was Incredible!

Here are 5 things to know about this crazy fun experience!!

🔒1.) The staff and room hosts, are AMAZING! They help calm the nerves right away, are hilarious, helpful and fun and will give you a story to go with your room to help get the game started.  They watch and listen and are there with clues if needed and give you an unforgettable experience!

🔒2.) There are 3 different escape rooms to choose from!

**Shipwrecked – Can you find the hidden treasure in time to escape?

**Infilitrate – Will you be able to succeed in this jailbreak?

**Asylum – Can you uncover the truth and escape?

Certain rooms are harder than others, so make sure to read each description and look at the level of difficulty for each on their website! Then, schedule a time to try and escape for yourself.

FYI: Rooms do change during the year, so be sure to watch for future announcements on upcoming new rooms on their website!

🔒3.) You don’t need any experience to try this!  You just need to grab some people, book a room and show up to give it your best shot.  If you don’t have a large group, don’t worry, you can be put with other people in the room and what better ice breaker than being locked in a room with strangers, having to solve puzzles, riddles and locks while trying to escape together?

🔒4.) A few other things I learned:

60 minutes is deceiving! You have one hour to escape, which seems like plenty of time but that time goes very quickly so you must keep moving and looking for what’s next.

Cell phones are not allowed in the rooms! This is all about doing this “old school” and interacting with each other.  You have to talk, think and work things out together! It’s a perfect activity for everyone, even teenagers, to try!

🔒5.) A memorable, fun and addicting experience! My group did the Shipwrecked Escape Room last week! It was a lot more fun and harder than we expected but we succeeded and escaped with a lot of laughs and maybe a couple of hints from our game room host!

We are still talking about how we escaped and probably will continue to bring it up in months to come. We are even looking forward to trying another escape room!

So……Can You Escape?

Find more details and book your next adventure on their Website! And make sure to follow them on Facebook too!

🔒🔒🔒BONUS:  Don’t miss their newest experience, the Legendary Adventure Tour on Saturdays in July and August!  Book Now for this very unique experience!
