The leaves will start turning and the air will become a little more brisk, signaling the change of seasons from Summer to Fall.  Whether you want to go apple picking, enjoy a scenic autumn hayride, sip warm apple cider or even decorate some caramel apples, there’s an Apple Orchard for you and your family!  My list focuses on the Pick your own Orchards but make sure that you take a moment while picking those apples and enjoy the scenery around you and take in the Autumn adventures you are having.  These great events, like Apple Pickin’, lead to lasting memories!

Call ahead before you visit your Orchard to ensure that it is Open.  Many vary in hours due to staff, weather and product availability.


Oneida Nation Apple Orchard

The Apple Orchard has 30 acres of original orchard and an additional 10 acres of new orchard, which now totals approximately 4,000 trees. The majority of the apples are McIntosh, Cortlands, and Honey Golds with twenty other varieties also available. There is also a wide variety of fresh produce products such as: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sweetcorn, squash and pumpkins.  Pick your own apples starts the Tuesday after Labor Day!

Late August through Late October, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., 7 days a week.  Join us in our orchard and pick your own apples! In our market we have 20 varieties of already picked apples.  We also have cider, jams, jellies, caramel apples, and cookbooks for you to enjoy.

Star Orchard offers a wide variety of “Pick Your Own” Apples and will open August 27th. You can pick to your heart’s desire. For those of you more interested in eating than picking, visit our retail store for pre-picked apples.  In addition to apples, our salesroom has honey, jams, jellies, salsa, salad dressings, mustards, maple syrup, and caramel apple toppings. This year we have added popcorn from End-of-the-Trail Candy Shoppe and dip mixes. Our bird population has inspired us to make bird seed available also.  We often have cider and caramel apples – first come, first served!

The Orchard is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning August 27th through  October 30th.  Pets are welcome in the orchard on a leash and accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed in the Farm Market.  The orchard is a great place for families to enjoy the crisp, colorful days of fall. Growing apples has always been our main focus. Raised for quality – harvested for peak flavor and crispness – sold fresh at affordable prices. Pick your own or choose your favorite from 20 different varieties in our farm market. Free samples are always available.

We grow about 30 different varieties of apples, pears, pumpkins & squash. When you come to pick, you may walk or drive your car into the orchard with your family. On weekends in September and October, you may enjoy a free wagon ride to and from the orchard and pumpkin patch. This is what family memories are made of! This is what your children will remember when they grow up!

There are  presently over 300 trees of all sizes and 15 varieties.  Head to the website to find out what varieties are presently ripe and ready for picking.  Feel free to bring your families and cameras out and enjoy an apple picking experience.  Who knows, you might even run into the little guy below who stopped in for a visit. The sales room in the Apple Shed sells Apples, Jams, Honey,  Apple syrup, Pumpkins, Squash and Gourds are available.
